The Duck Lake Regional Interpretive Center's mandate is the preservation and conservation of First Nations, Metis and Pioneer cultures and artifacts. As you follow the circular path of the gallery, you will learn about the people, their religion, their education, the politcal period of upheaval and the development of economic life.
The 24 m tower completes the main gallery with artwork and artifacts depicting Willow Cree First Nations, Metis and Pioneer hunting methods, foods and shelters. The picture windows at the top of the tower offers a 360 degree sweeping view of the country side.
The Duck Lake Regional Interpretive Center offers many different services inculding bilingual museum and murals guided tours. Murals tours by advance bookings only. The Center also offers text written in Cree, French and English. It is also the home of the Louis Riel Trial information center, travelling art gallery, and gift shop. Free parking and picnic area available. The Center also offers a 64 seat confrence room and audio-video equipment for rent with catering services available.
Admissions: Hours: Adults-$4.50 Open from Victoria Day in Students-$2.50 May to Labour Day in Seniors-$3.50 September. 7 days a week Family Rate-$12.00 From 10:00am-5:30pm. Open otherwise by appointment, year round.
